Isabella

Isabella is the only color portrait in this show. I made her in an effort to step outside my regular comfort zone of charcoal drawings. Instead of focusing on the intricate details of the human face, I took a different approach and tried color blocking to capture its shadows. Unlike the other artwork in this exhibition, I invite you to observe this piece from afar so you can see how the colors and shadows merge together to create a beautiful harmony.
